Who is Katalin?
Hello there, I am delighted to share my social work path with you, and hope that this gives you insight into whom I am and how much I love, being of services to others. my path to social work started when I worked in the child protection field in the United Kingdom. Becoming a therapist was a natural progression in terms of helping children to overcome their traumatic experiences. As a Licensed Integrative Child & Adolescent Psychotherapist in the UK, I have over 15 years of experience working with children, adolescents and their families. I worked in various London boroughs and with the UK’s national mental-health service for youth, including face-to-face psychotherapy and managerial oversight.
Following relocation to the US in 2018, I earned my third Master’s degree, this time in Social Work from the University of South Florida, and soon after became registered as a provisionally licensed clinician. This allowed me to expand my focus to support adults and couples, experiencing a range of mental health challenges including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorders, adjustment issues, trauma, anger difficulties, grief and loss, relationship conflicts, among others.
It is my goal to create a safe space for clients as they dive into life’s challenges. I am passionate about working with individual, teens, families and couples from diverse cultural backgrounds. It is my belief that everyone’s culture should be celebrated and respected.
I look forward to working with patients as they develop and feel empowered through their lifetime!
